What People Say
I have thoroughly enjoyed using the VideoMagistrate system to perform my magistrate duties. In this day and time, with a pandemic, it has been a life saver! All the documents I use are on the system, the jail uploads all the information I need, I fill out the paperwork, then call the jail when I am ready for them to bring the defendant(s) before the camera to be magistrated. The defendant signs the documents with an electronic pen, once I am done, I print out the paperwork. The jail is also able to print out the paperwork and give the defendant the necessary documents. I can magistrate from the office, from home on the weekends, or if traveling, it can be done from a hotel room, which is awesome! This software is Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) approved, so it gives me peace of mind.

Video Magistrate has been an asset to our magistration process, and we use all of our forms. In the few times we had a technical issue, all have been resolved in 15 minutes or less. VM has wonderful and prompt customer service and is fully geared to Texas’ laws.
